Very cool - Somewhat brittle

Astray is a manga offshoot from Gundam Seed, which currently does not have an anime show.

This kit is one of the more 'fun' builds. It's a 20 meter tall mech with two katana/samurai swords and a humongous blade that transforms into a bow, a grabbing arm and a weird jetpack that looks cool, if not particularly functional.
The 'gold' injection plastic looks cheap, as it tends to do, but the chrome swords do look nice and since the entire model is full of panel lines, you get an opportunity to make it look even better without too much effort. There's a bunch of sticker decals and dry transfers as well, which you can put on it any way you want and really make it your own.

There are extra parts in the kit, so you don't have to use the gun as the handle for the giant sword, you can make your own handle out of a couple of parts, in case you want the model to hold the gun in its hand and have the giant sword on the back in its whole form.

Some of the red plastic is hard and therefore brittle, especially the 'ring' parts that fit around pegs, inside the shoulders. If you have trouble pushing them in, I advise sanding them down little by little to make them fit without having to use too much pressure.
Otherwise what'll happen is that the ring snaps and you'll have a very loose arm, like I do. It's a tolerance issue and a rare one for Bandai, but it happens occasionally, especially when the plastic is as hard as this one is. And that's just where I broke it, there could be many other places on the model that with less practiced hands than mine could snap the plastic. Be careful.

The included small stand is nice not just to hold up the giant sword, but you can plug it into the back of the model to have the whole thing standing without falling over.

In my opinion, this kit is not for beginners - I'd start off with something simpler and more forgiving material.
