LED UNIT til PG UNICORN GUNDAM/PG BANSHEE NORN

Great addition for my PG Unicorn Banshee. The led lighting elevates the look of the whole kit. An absolutely must have to experience the full glory of the phycho frame.

I'll keep it simple - If you're skilled at model building and cable management, this is good for what it is. If you're a beginner, avoid.

Good:
It works
It looks good
The instructions are relatively simple

Bad:
It's ludicrously expensive
The cable management is atrocious
While simple in instruction, it's difficult to actually implement
It makes the start-to-finish build of the model very difficult and time consuming
Few lighting options (head on, all on, off)

It started out relatively simple, it's very nice that the LEDs are protected and in easy little to install boxes, but as you go, you find out that the cables are long and all of that has to go somewhere. The white cables should have been grey so they don't stand out against the inner frame of the PG Unicorn or the very dark colors of the PG Banshee, so they look ugly if you can't hide them well and since the cables are spongy/springy, they're hard to keep hidden.

The cables are fiddly and fragile, they pinch extremely easily - This is on purpose so you can fit them into various grooves, but it also makes them nerve-wracking to install. Some of the design is so stupidly complicated when it could've been more straight forward - You don't *need* grooves and hidden compartments when a damn hole could've done the same job.

When it's all said and done, it looks great, I just wish that it wasn't a +10 years old product and actually had some simple options.
The normal mode is that you press once and the head lights on, once more and the whole model lights up and five minutes later it turns off by itself.
Apparently there's a step process where you can make it stay on until it runs out of battery or you turn it off - Here's the process:

"If you press the power button twice very quick the head will turn on and off real quick
If you press it again after that the head will come immediately on
If you press it once more the head will turn off and the body will come on
And finally if you press it once more again the head will turn back on and they won't turn off unless you press the button again or turn it off "

I have no idea if it works, but it's dumb.

In all honesty, doing your own LED cabling or looking into a 3rd party product, is probably better. There are no LEDs for the shield, gun or backpack wings (Banshee), just the model and the standard backpack.

I had the idea that I'd get both the Unicorn and Banshee, but after doing this once, I'm not ever doing it again.
