Very short version - You are unlikely to be able to use the app and you need to use a power adapter (not included) to get the MINIMUM speed out of it. Read more for details. - WARNING - Using a PC port and under-powering it MAY damage the shaker!
Technically this is an "oscillating shaker" also known as a vortex mixer.
This product works, it looks great, it's easy to use and very convenient, BUT there are two huge caveats...
1. It needs an app, the DISPAE Hub and you need to get it from the QR code which links to the right site, which is not available on the Google Play store (should be in the iPhone store). If you don't have an app, it's stuck at one speed and you can't change the lights.
The problem doesn't end there, however, you also need a profile and you need to maneuver the Chinese app, in Chinese, before you can get to the English setting and you can't keep it in English unless you have a profile, nor can you use the app without said profile (so even if you translate with Google Lens, for example, you can't just maneuver the app and find the right product).
It gets worse, because for one I have no idea if it's safe or if it's spyware, a back door or something else, it's from China after all, but you need a confirmation message from China to verify and it doesn't always work, according to online experiences, so you're going to spend a lot of effort just to use the full extent of your... hobby paint shaker.
2. The power issue. It comes with a USB-A to USB-C cable which you can plug into your computer. However, when you do that, you don't get even the middle speed, since it needs significant power. You need to use your own adapter (I used my tablet and phone adapter, which worked fine) to get the "base" (low) 2500 RPM out of its 3200 max. On the computer, it was maybe 1800? Maybe lower, I'm not sure, but it's underpowered.
Those are two significant flaws, especially since it doesn't come with an adapter, so you don't know that it's underpowered.
Besides that, if it just worked with a simple non-profile app, it would've been great. A lot of people have a USB-A power adapter, for their phone and you get the cable needed to power it fully.
It's simple to use, even if you don't use the app, you just push a bottle of paint onto the center of the top and it will spin and mix your paint.
The silicone feels very nice and glides effortlessly internally, easy to clean if you spill paint on it. The shaker looks pretty with a transparent shell and you can see the LED light through the internal metallic red grill (unknown if it's metal or plastic, likely the latter since it's light weight).
The pads underneath are SUPER grippy, because they're a PU gel 'nano-suction' material that has microscopic cavities on the surface, acting as a field of suction cups, so even though it's glossy and feels like it's glued, it's not and you can wash them with warm water and a bit of soap to make them sticky again.
Conclusion:
For 400DKK it's a somewhat expensive piece of kit just as a baseline.
DSPIAE aims to be and is known as, a company that wants you to have a good time with precisely machined parts and nice looking designs, often with flashy LED functions.
I think maybe this vibrator could've had a little more heft to it to feel more 'premium' and maybe that would've raised the price a lot, but it's not quite as nice feeling as their other stuff in that regard, even if the silicone and aesthetics are nice.
Then obviously there is the app and power issue. Both are fixable, but no one should have to go through what is a pretty severe and difficult hassle just to mix some hobby paint. There are DIY solutions, you can use an electric drill and a custom clamp-bit to mix hobby paints with *SIGNIFICANTLY* more power (and risk painting your walls at the same time), so it's not like it's a must have, it's just supposed to be a convenient table tool and it puts some significant hurdles in the way of being that.
