    2003 Repackage

The Sword/Launcher pack is a 2008 release of the 2003 MG Strike with separate Sword and Launcher backpacks and weapons, as well as the standard loadout minus the Aile Striker Pack.

NOTE: The weapon packs ARE compatible with the 2013 MG Aile Strike (also known as Remaster) to form a Perfect Strike.

    Aesthetics:
The attached image is of the 2003 (Left) and 2013 (Right) MG Strikes.
Due to the simple geometric designs of the Strike and despite being well over twenty years old, the 2003 version holds up visually. It has a much larger V-fun and simple panels without much detail, however the design is made to reduce seams and integrate the inner frame with the outer panels.
There is a lack of proper color separation, such as the rear vents being blue instead of blue with grey inside, and the vulcans/vents on the head missing color.

The kit comes with a flat color sticker sheet (eyes/cameras and yellow color correction stickers for the green shoulder fins), sticker decals for the Strike and for the weapons, and a very nice dry transfer sheet.

    Mechanics:
The Strike's articulation is 23 years old, it's not exactly great, with ball-in-socket hips and unstable feet. For its age though, it's not bad, with a opening cockpit and articulated shoulders, while the hands are just loose grippers without tabs or anything.
This box is all about the equipment and swapping between the packs.

    Equipment:
Launcher Pack - Right shoulder attachment with panels and minigun. Backpack has a servo-arm that assists holding the "Agni" 320mm Hyper Impulse Cannon
Sword Pack - Left shoulder attachment holds a "Midas Messer" beam boomerang with an attachable beam. Backpack holds the "Schwert Gewehr" 15.78m Anti-Ship Sword with beam effect for the main blade and a small one for the pommel. The "Panzer Eisen" Rocket Anchor is a small blue shield attachable to either arm with an attachable wire between the claw and the shield.

1 Shield, attachable to either lower arm
1 Beam rifle, held in hand, not stored
2 Schneider folding knives, stored in side skirts

    Conclusion:
Outside of P-Bandai, this is the only way to get a Perfect Strike Gundam, along with the 2013 Remaster - The P-Bandai version is just the weapons from this kit and the 2013 kit put together and given a special coating.
As mentioned, the Strike is from 2003, not 2008.
Overall, it's okay, nothing great, nothing terrible. If you like the Strike or if you like building old kits, you might find it interesting, due to how simple and elegant a build it is. It's quite competent compared to something like the 2002 RX-78-2 Ver.Ka which doesn't even have a full inner frame or movable shoulders.
