I'm not going to lie, it's a pretty frustrating kit to deal with. It builds fine, there are no problems there, but it doesn't pose well at all and the transformation is pretty bad. If you like the way it looks, it's safe to get.
Aesthetics:
I'm personally not fond of the uniform colored mobile suits of the Unicorn show, but the Delta Plus does look pretty cool, in both modes. The design is pretty typical for Unicorn, in that it has a busier and more geometric slanted surfaces everywhere.
The kit comes with camera stickers, a decal sticker sheet and a dry transfer sheet which is kind of lackluster.
Mechanics:
It's a transformation kit and it's worse than the 2005 MG Zeta 2.0
It's flimsier, it has odd tiny parts, it's super floppy and unmanageable while you transform it, it uses external parts to stabilize it and you pretty much need to pull off the arms and put them back on, to do it.
The articulation is okay, but the feet are very unstable and the 2.0 style peg-hands can't hold the rifle. I don't mean they have a bad connection, I mean they literally can't hold it, unless you brace it, use sticky tack or another solution.
Equipment:
1 Beam Rifle with magazine - Storable on either wing or the butt flap
2 extra magazines - not storable anywhere
2 Beam Saber Hilts in the shield
2 (pretty unique) light blue Beam Saber Effect Parts
1 shield, which is mostly an excuse to have a separate nose cone
2 stabilization parts
1 base adapter (for both modes)
1 pilot figure and 2 1/100 Riddhe and Mineva minifigs
Conclusion:
It's a partsformer. Let's not kid around here, if you've made a transformer that's so floppy that you need to put in pieces to keep it steady (while claiming in the manual that you totally don't need them) you've made a compromised transformer.
The posing stability is trash, it needs to be up on a base and then you can get some poses out of it which are okay.
There is sort of an agreed upon "unicorn curse" in gunpla. There's something flawed, bad or wrong with most, if not all of them, and the Delta Plus is no exception, it definitely fits the bill.
The wave rider mode *is* pretty cool though and this might be the only transformer I keep in flight mode.
The reason I don't give it less than 5 stars is because it doesn't fall apart and it can technically do what it's supposed to, as long as you get it onto a stand. There are worse kits out there and you can tighten it up. The hand not being able to hold the rifle is a legitimate issue though, not sure how to fix that...
